Swindell-Kinder wed

The First Baptist Church in Dexter was the setting for the wedding of Stephanie Swindell, daughter of Marla Swindell and David Swindell of Bloomfield, and Matthew Kinder, son of Steve and Joyce Kinder of Dexter on Saturday, Sept. 20, 2003, at 6 p.m.

The ceremony was performed by Don Kennedy, and music was provided by Theron Woods.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a two-piece, macato satin Alfred Angelo gown with a beaded bodice and corset back. She carried white day lillies wrapped in white satin.

Serving as matron of honor was the mother of the bride, Marla Swindell. Bridesmaids were Kelly Griffith and Kelly Brandon, both friends of the bride from Durango, Colo., and Candi Cravens, also friend of the bride from St. Louis.

Steve Kinder, father of the bridegroom, served as best man. Groomsmen were Joey Pyle, brother-in-law of the bridegroom, Doug Stearns and Danny Arnold, friends of the bridegroom from Durango, Colo. Ushers were Billy Hatton, Nathan Harris and Matt Dowdy, all of Dexter.

The wedding reception was held at the Elk's Lodge in Dexter. "Naked Groove" from St. Louis provided the music during the evening. Many out-of-town guests attended, as well as friends and family.

After a honeymoon in Jamaica, the couple is making their home in Bloomfield.
