Esta Lee Miller, the daughter of the late Robert and Emma McFarlen Gillis, was born in Dexter on Oct. 16, 1924, and died at the Beverly Health and Rehab Center in Dexter on Monday, Jan. 5, 2004, at the age of 79.

Mrs. Miller had lived in Dexter all her life. She had worked at Elder Manufacturing and had been a pocket setter for 19 years.

On May 18, 1946, she was married to Earl Miller in Piggott, Ark.

Surviving are her husband, Earl Miller of Dexter; one daughter, Diane Pewitt of Sikeston; and two grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one son, Gary Lee Miller on Dec. 2, 2003; and one sister, Marie Wilson.

Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 6, 2004, at Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter.

Graveside funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 7, 2004, in the Essex Cemetery with Rev. Jimmy Kirby of Dexter officiating.

Interment will follow in the Essex Cemetery with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter in charge of arrangements.
