Esther Boyer, daughter of the late Richard Seeburger and Nellie Broska Seeburger, was born on May 28, 1914, at Dexter and died in her residence at Dexter on Sunday, Jan. 11, 2004, at the age of 89.

Mrs. Boyer was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church at Dexter, the former co-owner of Boyer's Cleaners in Dexter for 47 years with her husband, and a resident of Dexter.

She was united in marriage to Richard "Dick" Boyer on Nov. 6, 1946, at Dexter. Mr. Boyer preceded her in death on Dec. 3, 2000.

Survivors include one son, Chuck Boyer of Dexter; one daughter, Margaret Strawn of Henderson, Ky.; one sister, Margaret Seeburger of Dexter; two grandsons, Eric Boyer of Dexter and Todd Strawn of Henderson, Ky.; two step-grandchildren, Dustin Harris and Deanna Ginther; and two great-grandchildren, Luke Boyer and Jacqueline Ginther.

Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Frank Seeburger and Victor Seeburger.

Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. today, Tuesday, Jan. 13, 2004, at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter. A Rosary service will be conducted at 7 p.m. Tuesday.

Funeral mass will be conducted at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 14, 2004, in the Sacred Heart Catholic Church at Dexter with Father David Dohogne officiating.

Interment will follow in the Dexter Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the Stoddard County Children's Home at Bloomfield.
