He worked as a bottler at Pevely Dairy for 41 years.
On Aug. 31, 1937, he and Dora Lee were united in marriage at Marble Hill, and she preceded him in death on April 29, 2003.
Survivors include two sons, Roger Staats of Farmington and Larry Staats of Park Hill; a daughter, Virginia Staudinger of Belton; a brother, Harold Staats of Zalma; three sisters, Rosa Lee Chambers of Overland, Kathryn Fish of Arab and Stella Mae Pittman of Advance; 10 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by three sisters; one brother; and a grandson.
Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 30, 2004, at Morgan Funeral Chapel in Advance.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 31, 2004, at Morgan Funeral Chapel in Advance.
Interment will follow in the Beatty Cemetery near Arab.
