Ella Mae Smith, daughter of Mary Celestia Owen Smith of Dexter and the late Oscar William Smith, was born Sept. 5, 1926, at Dora and died at her residence in Dexter on Wednesday, Feb. 4, 2004, at the age of 77.

Ms. Smith was a member of the Dexter Church of Christ and a resident of Dexter.

Besides her mother, she is survived by two brothers, James E. Smith of Statesville, N.C., and Ishmael Smith of Dexter; and two sisters, Pat Ann Hessling and Loretta Wickenhauser, both of Dexter.

Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. at the Dexter Church of Christ on Saturday, Feb. 7, 2004.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Feb. 7, 2004, at the Dexter Church of Christ with Dale Grissom officiating.

Interment will follow in the Dexter Cemetery.
