Earlene Smith, 84, of Advance, was born Nov. 30, 1919, at Itawamba County, Miss., the daughter of the late Oscar and Sarah Dulany Johnson, and died Monday, Feb. 9, 2004, at the St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

She was a homemaker and a member of Church of Christ in Advance.

On Oct. 21, 1939, she and Frank Smith were united in marriage at Lepanto, Ark., and he survives of the home.

Survivors include four sons, Frankie Smith of Marble Hill, Jimmy Smith of Jackson, Calvin Smith and Keith Smith, both of Advance; one daughter, Patricia Ann Smith of Advance; four sisters, Opal Boudra of Memphis, Tenn., Emil Mae Blackard of Lone Oak, Ark., Nadine Kennedy of Garland, Texas, and Delores Sedelco of Bloomfield, Mich.; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

A brother preceded her in death.

Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 11, 2004, at Morgan Funeral Chapel in Advance.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 11, 2004, at Morgan Funeral Chapel in Advance with Billy Davis officiating.

Interment will follow in Morgan Memorial Park in Advance.
