Mrs. Honey was a member of the Sweet Prospect General Baptist Church in Dexter, a former employee of Elder Manufacturing Company in Dexter for 27 years and a resident of Dexter.
She was united in marriage to William Luther Honey on December 13, 1930 at Nowport, Arkansas. Mr. Honey preceded her in death on March 14, 1988.
Survivors include on son, Thomas P. Honey of Wappapello; three daughters, Wilma Conner of Paragould, Arkansas, Melda Christian and Janice Honey, both of Dexter; two sisters, Dorothy Julius of Dexter and Verlie Hardin of Arnold; by 10 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.
Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, J.R. Cochran and by a sister, Pearlie Ross.
Visitation will be held at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter from 12:30 until 2 p.m. on Monday, February 16, 2004. Funeral services will then be conducted at 2 p.m. in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel in Dexter with the Rev. Dean Williams officiating. Interment will follow in the Hagy Cemetery.
