Ola Underwood

Ola Underwood was born at Puxico on Jan. 27, 1905, and died at Beverly Healthcare in Bloomfield on Friday, Feb. 20, 2004, at the age of 99.

Mrs. Underwood had spent most of her life in the Bloomfield community. She was a housewife and member of the First General Baptist Church in Bloomfield.

In 1921 she was married to Walter Underwood, and he preceded her in death on June 25, 1975.

Survivors include two sons, Norman and Gene Underwood, both of Bloomfield; two daughters, Pansy Dennis and Jessie Robey, both of Bloomfield; 11 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren.

Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by three sons, Carl, Junior and Joe Underwood.

Visitation will be held from 12 - 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 22, 2004, at Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 22, 2004, at the Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield with Rev. Kevin Eskew officiating.

Interment will follow in the Walker Cemetery near Bloomfield.
