Mary Norma McCoy

Mary Norma McCoy, daughter of the late Joseph Grayum and Ethel Jordan Grayum, was born on Feb. 7, 1921, at Powe and died in the Beverly Healthcare of Bloomfield on Monday, Feb. 23, 2004, at the age of 83.

Mrs. McCoy was of the Pentecostal faith, a former housekeeper at Dexter Memorial Hospital and a resident of Dexter.

She was united in marriage to Richard Rudolph McCoy on March 2, 1940, at Advance, and to this union four children were born. Mr. McCoy preceded her in death on Dec. 25, 1972.

Survivors include two sons, Charles McCoy of East Prairie and Alfred Richard McCoy of Dexter; 10 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Ronald Joseph McCoy; one daughter, Connie Sue Morrison; one brother, Bill Grayum; four sisters, Josie Smith, Thelma Wilcox, Forrest Whitehead, and Dora Lathum.

Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. today, Tuesday, Feb. 24, 2004, at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter.

Funeral services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 25, 2004, at Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter with Rev. Danny King officiating.

Interment will follow in the Walker Cemetery at Bloomfield.
