He was employed by Allen Christian Buick in Dexter for 25 years and had lived in the Dexter and Bloomfield area for most of his life.
Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Robbie and Michelle Chism of Bloomfield; three grandchildren, Robyn, River and Jewel Marie Chism; two step-daughters, Tina Fuwell and family of Bloomfield and Jordon Paine of Poplar Bluff; a special friend, Barbara Hampton of Dexter and her children, Ginger and Dustin Hampton; two brothers, James Chism and Charles (Chuck) Chism, both of Bloomfield; two sisters, Sandra Hill of Bloomfield and Debbie Snider of Dexter; several nieces, nephews and many friends.
Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 28, 2004, at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 29, 2004, in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel in Dexter with Rev. Fred Leist officiating.
Interment will follow in the Bloomfield Cemetery.
The family has requested that memorials may be made to Stoddard County Children's Home or the Cancer Society.
