Mrs. Pippins was a former employee of Brown Shoe Company in Bernie, a member of the Bernie General Baptist Church, and currently a resident of Belleville, Ill.
She was united in marriage to Lloyd Pippins on Oct. 10, 1931, at Bernie. Mr. Pippins preceded her in death on July 10, 1960.
Survivors include two sons, Gerald Pippins and wife Nita of Belleville, Ill., and John Pippins of Lompoc, Calif.; one sister, Emma Walker of Dexter; six grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Elmer and Clyde Summers; one half-brother, Henry Wallace; and one sister, Martha Matthews.
Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. today, Tuesday, March 2, 2004, at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Bernie.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 3, 2004, in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel in Bernie with Rev. Arvel Edmonds officiating.
Interment will follow in the Bernie Cemetery.
