Gary Dean Sitz, 64, of Advance, was born Jan. 24, 1939, at Advance, the son of the late Milo and Ruth Robison Sitz, and died Friday, Feb. 27, 2004, at the Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.

He had worked at Morgan Funeral Home in Advance and also Advance RIV Schools for many years. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.

He and Lila Friedrich were united in marriage, and she survives.

Survivors include his wife, Lila Sitz of Puxico; two sons, Ron Sitz of Atlanta, Ga., and Donnie Sitz of Arab; two brothers, Ray Sitz of St. Charles and Gerald Sitz of Sikeston; and three granddaughters.

He was preceded in death by one sister, Shelby.

Visitation was held from 5-8 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 29, 2004, at Morgan Funeral Home in Advance.

Funeral services were conducted at 11:30 a.m. Monday, March 1, 2004, at Morgan Funeral Chapel in Advance with Rev. Norman Elledge officiating.

Interment followed in Missouri Veterans Cemetery at Bloomfield with full military honors.
