Kay Laminack, the daughter of the late Ora Lee and Mildred Faye Woodson Stroud was born in Parma on March 30, 1941, and died on Tuesday, March 2, 2004, at the age of 62.

Mrs. Laminack had lived many years in Morehouse and had also lived in Texas and Illinois. She was a homemaker, had worked for a short time at National Lock in Sikeston and at Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Morehouse with her husband until her health forced her retirement. She had attended the Oneness Pentecostal Church in Morehouse.

On Dec. 24, 1959, she was married to Jim Laminack in Morehouse.

Mrs. Laminack is survived by her husband, Jim Laminack of Morehouse; one son, James Randall Laminack of Morehouse; one daughter, Cindy Bowers of Sikeston; four grandchildren; two brothers, Ronnie Stroud and Donnie Stroud, both of Morehouse; and one sister, Brenda Sanders of Morehouse.

She was preceded in death by one brother, Gary Dewayne Stroud.

Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. Thursday, March 4, 2004, at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Morehouse.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Friday, March 5, 2004, in the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Morehouse with the Rev. Frank Breeden of Morehouse officiating.

Interment will be in the Essex Cemetery.

Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Morehouse is in charge of arrangements.
