Lottie Vandalley Hunt, 87, of Marston, the daughter of the late William Lester Gribble and Rosie Ellen Clark Gribble, was born April 6, 1916, in Stamps, Ark., and died Thursday, March 4, 2004, at her residence in Marston.

On Nov. 23, 1937, she was united in marriage to Claude "Shortie" Hunt at Caruthersville, and he preceded her in death on July 29, 1966.

Survivors include eight daughters, Catherine Raymond of Blytheville, Nadine Tortilott of Naples, Fla., Pauline Murphy of New Madrid, Arline Baker of Russellville, Ala., Frances Russell of Marston, Margaret Treadway of Batesville, Ark., Diane Canavess of Flagstaff, Ariz., and Ruby Conner of St. Louis; three sons, Arthur "Butch" Hunt of Bernie, Claude "Clyde" Hunt of Batesville, Ark., and Tony Hunt of Wardell; three sisters, Pearl Hill of Ellsinore, Mary Hudson of Kalamazoo, Mich., and Nora Lee Powell of Dexter; 42 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren.

One son, Jimmy Dale Hunt, and two brothers, Thomas Gribble and John Gribble preceded her in death.

Visitation was held at 6 p.m. Saturday, March 6, 2004, at Bradshaw Funeral Home in Wardell.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 7, 2004, at Bradshaw Chapel in Wardell with Rev. Charles Pipkens officiating.

Interment will follow in the Wardell Memorial Cemetery at Wardell.
