Pearl Jackson

Pearl Jackson, 84, of Cape Girardeau, was born Dec. 16, 1919, at Greenbrier, the daughter of the late Harrison and Dorothy Swick Cato, and died Thursday, March 11, 2004, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

She and Leland "Jack" Jackson were united in marriage on Dec. 21, 1938, at Marble Hill, and he survives of the home.

Other survivors include two sons, Dana Jackson of Medora, Ill., and Kim (Kimberly) Jackson of Jackson; two daughters, Barbara Cummins and Sherry Brown, both of Bethalto, Ill.; three brothers, Leroy Cato of Puxico, Bill Cato of Dexter and Hubert Cato of Troy; two sisters, Lora Wiseman of Advance and Kathryn Brown of Sedgewickville; 15 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one son, Jarel Jackson; and four brothers, Paul, J.T., Harold and Ronald.

Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. today, Sunday, March 14, 2004, at Morgan Funeral Home in Advance.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday, March 15, 2004, at Morgan Funeral Chapel in Advance with Rev. James Johns officiating.

Interment will follow in Bollinger Co. Memorial Park in Marble Hill.
