Carolyn J. McRoy

Carolyn J. McRoy, the daughter of the late Leonard and Dessie Parks Lindsey, was born at Eminence on March 12, 1946, and died at her home in Florissant on Friday, March 12, 2004, at the age of 58.

Mrs. McRoy had spent most of her life in the St. Louis area. She was a member of Calvary Tabernacle Church in Florissant and a very active member of the Ladies Auxiliary.

On June 16, 1986, she was married to Ben McRoy.

Survivors include her husband, Ben McRoy of the home in Florissant; two daughters, Vicky Jean Cooper and Susan Irene Van Winkle, both of Winona; one son, Bobby Dean Van Winkle of St. Louis; three sisters, Christine Lindsey Clark, Brenda Ziegler and Angela Fears, all of St. Louis; five brothers, Ronnie Lindsey and Stanley Fears, both of St. Louis; Bruce Lindsey of Crocker, Michael Fears of St. Peters, and Kevin Fears of Barnes Mills; and four grandchildren.

Visitation was held from 5-8 p.m. Monday, March 15, 2004, at the Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield.

Funeral services were conducted at noon today, Tuesday, March 16, 2004, at the Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield with Bro. Keath officiating.

Interment followed in the Walker Cemetery.
