Ethel Marie McClung, daughter of the late John Henry Nash and Edna White Nash, was born Nov. 23, 1918, at LaPanto, Ark., and died in the Three Rivers Healthcare North Campus at Poplar Bluff on Tuesday, March 16, 2004, at the age of 85.

Mrs. McClung was a member of the Essex Church of Christ, a homemaker and resident of rural Parma.

She was united in marriage to Robinson Joseph McClung on Oct. 30, 1937, at Osceola, Ark. Mr. McClung preceded her in death on Sept. 28, 1991.

Survivors include one son, Eugene McClung of Parma; one daughter, Frances Cassidy of Piedmont; three brothers, John Nash of Wappapello, Bill Nash of Dexter and Foster Watson of Cooter; one sister, Nelly Dery of VanWert, Ohio; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Jessie McClung; three brothers, Russell Nash, Marvin Nash, and Harold Nash; and two sisters, Sylvia Pitts and Georgia Moore.

Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. Friday, March 19, 2004, at Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 20, 2004, in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel with Herman Morse officiating.

Interment will follow in the Dexter Cemetery.
