Prentis Moore

Prentis Moore, 82, of Paducah, Ky., formerly of Bernie, died March 21, 2004, at 8:55 p.m. at Western Baptist Hospital.

Mr. Moore was a native of Powe and served in the Army during World War II as a clerk in the Office of Strategic Services, and he retired after 30 years of service as a timekeeper for Union Carbide.

Survivors include his wife, Hetty (Wise) Moore of Paducah, Ky., formerly of London, England; a daughter, Marilyn Meier of Lawrence, Kan.; one son, Gary Moore of Paducah, Ky.; one grandson; two step-grandchildren; and one step-great-grandchild..

He was preceded in death by his parents, John Palvin Moore and Pearl (Mobley) Moore.

Visitation will be held from 5:30-9 p.m. Wednesday, March 24, 2004, at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah, Ky.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 25, 2004, at graveside at Bethany Cemetery in Bernie.
