Alice Louise Oliver, daughter of the late William Henry Bishop and Parlee Tatum Bishop, was born on Feb. 8, 1920, at Senath and died in the Cypress Point Healthcare in Dexter on Tuesday, April 6, 2004, at the age of 84.

Mrs. Oliver attended the Southwest Church of the Nazarene, was a homemaker and a resident of Dexter.

She was united in marriage to Orla E. "Dike" Oliver on June 25, 1956, at Kennett, and he preceded her in death on Feb. 19, 1973.

Survivors include three sons, Larry Bishop of Grand Blanc, Mich., Dick Oliver of Smithfield, Va., and Richard Oliver of Keyes, Calif.; one daughter, Peggy King of Dexter; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by three sons, Joe Oliver, Jerry Lynn Oliver, Dorse Oliver; six brothers, Hubert Bishop, Woodrow Bishop, Henry Bishop, Wayne Bishop, and two in infancy; one half-brother, Lewis Bishop; two sisters, Imogene Clark and Mildred Smith; and two half-sisters, Louella Kirby and Zola Thorn.

Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. today, Thursday, April 8, 2004, at Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Friday, April 9, 2004, in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel in Dexter with Rev. Ed Stoner and Rev. Gerald Beam officiating.

Interment will follow in the Bernie Cemetery.
