James Robert Fears, son of the late Fred Oliver Fears and Glenna Myrl Crawford Fears, was born on March 27, 1938, at Bernie and died in Ozark on Wednesday, April 7, 2004, at the age of 66.

Mr. Fears was a member of the Community of Christ Church of Bernie and a former hotel owner.

Survivors include two sons, Wally Fears of Hemet, Calif., and David Fears of Ballwin; and two grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred Oliver Fears and Glenna Fears; and one brother, John Fears.

A memorial visitation will be held at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Bernie from 5-8 p.m. Friday, April 9, 2004.

A memorial service will be conducted at the Community of Christ Church of Bernie on Saturday, April 10, 2004, at a time to be announced later.
