Eddie John Dettrie, son of Kelley Dettrie and Lillie M. Guthrie Dettrie from Dexter was born August 2, 1956, at Senath and departed this life at West Memphis, Ark. on April 6, 2004, at the age of 47.

Mr. Dettrie was affiliated with the Bethany General Baptist Church, a farm laborer, and a resident of Dexter.

Besides his parents, Kelley and Lillie Dettrie of Dexter, survivors include one son, Kevin AcCord of Cape Girardeau, one daughter, Latisha Dawn Farrow of Dexter; and two grandchildren.

Friends may call at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m., Monday, April 12, 2004. Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, April 13, 2004, at 10 a.m. in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel with Rev. Bryan Johnson officiating. Interment will follow in the Dexter Cemetery.
