Freeda Jane Winchester, 101, of Advance, was born July 16, 1902, at Dongola, the daughter of the late Henry and Anne Nelson Revelle, and died Thursday, April 8, 2004, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
She was a homemaker and a member of Dongola Missionary Baptist Church.
On March 28, 1919, she and Lee Wiley Winchester were united in marriage at Marble Hill, and he preceded her in death in 1988.
Survivors include six sons, Wilbur Winchester and Bob Winchester, both of Poplar Bluff, H.W. Winchester, Doyle Winchester and Jim Winchester all of Advance, and Jack Winchester of Maryland Heights; two daughters, Bonnie Shell of Advance and Nancy Carol Farrar of Baldwin; five foster daughters, Shirley Borgfield, Naomi Stanley and Evelyn Harris, all of Jackson, Audrey Huston of Fruitland, and Barbara Warner of Marble Hill; 20 grandchildren; 11 foster grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by three brothers, two sisters, and four grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. Monday, April 12, 2004, at Morgan Funeral Home in Advance.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 13, 2004, at Dongola Missionary Baptist Church in Dongola with Rev. Dan Overton officiating and assisted by Rev. Ronnie Winchester.
Interment will follow in Dongola Cemetery.
