Bill Gibson

Bill Gibson, the son of the late Ray B. and Pearl Barker Gibson, was born in Santa Anna, California, on July 6, 1942, and died at Missouri Southern Healthcare in Dexter on April 16, 2004 at the age of 61.

Mr. Gibson lived in the Bloomfield and Dexter area all his life. He had worked as an electrician until ill health forced his retirement.

On February 16, 1964 was was married to Delores McGarrity. She preceded him in death on June 4, 1976.

Surviving are his longtime sweetheart and companion, Lorene Brown of Dexter; one daughter, Theresa Wilson of Dexter; two step-daughters, Pamela McCoy of Topeka, Kan., and Rita Hunsaker of Batesville, Ark; two grandchildren, Tyler and Makenna Wilson of Dexter; one step-granddaughter, Regina Hunsaker of Batesville, Ark.; two brothers, Lee Roy Barker of Dexter and Jim Gibson of Michigan. He was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.

Visitation will be held today, Sunday, April 18, 2004 from 5-8 p.m. at the Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 19, 2004, at 11 a.m. in the Watkins and Sons Chapel in Dexter with M.C. Moore of Dexter officiating.

Interment will follow in the Dexter Cemetery.
