Harvey Smothers, 96, of Bloomfield, died Thursday, April 22, 2004, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.

Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. Saturday, April 24, 2004 at the Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield .

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, April 25, 2004, at the First General Baptist Church in Bloomfield with Rev. Kevin Eskew officiating. Interment will follow in the George Cemetery near Bloomfield.
