MaryRuth Boone was pianist and Eric Mathis was organist for the ceremony. Martha Ann Polsgrove, sister of the bride, and Michelle Ann Lane, cousin of the bride, sang "Love Changes Everything" as Kaitlyn Jarrell, sister of the groom, was lighting the candles. "The Wedding Song was sung by the bride's cousins Mary Helen Schanda, of Raleigh, N.C., and Amanda Schanda Harris of Kennett.
The bride was escorted by her father. Martha Ann Polsgrove, sister of the bride, served as maid of honor. The bridesmaids were Elizabeth Schanda, cousin of the bride of Cape Girardeau; Michelle Ann Lane, cousin of the bride of Dexter; Lacey Dooley of Fairview Heights, Illinois; and Kimberly Rogers Lacy of Dexter. The flower girls were Caroline Atwell of Charlotte, N.C., and Kendra Stevenson of St. Joseph, Mo., both cousins of the bride.
Gregory Whiteman of Jackson served as best man. Groomsmen were Derek Cecil, brother of the groom of Dexter; John Jarrell, uncle of the groom of Dexter; Daniel Bockhold of Columbia; and Michael Guethle of Columbia. Ushers were Ricky Boyt of Dexter, Justin Kelley of Kansas City, and Kevin Louder of Dexter. Ringer bearers were James Atwell of Charlotte, N.C., and Tyler Kent Stevenson of St. Joseph, both cousins of the bride.
The guest book attendants were Brandy Jarrell of Dexter, Anna Morrow Whiteman of Jackson, Sarah Freund of Shawnee, Kansas, and Sara Guethle of Dexter.
During the ceremony the groom's stepmother, Debra Jarrell, and his uncle, Jeffrey Jarrell, sang "How Do You Fall In Love". The bride's cousins, Elizabeth Schanda, Amanda Schanda Harris, and Mary Helen Schanda Snider, sang "The Lord's Prayer". Ann Mary Leist, cousin of the bride of Brooklyn, New York, read a scripture.
Following the ceremony a reception was held at Wesley Hall. Eric Mathis provided music.
The couple is making their home in Makanda, Illinois, were Mrs. Jarrell is employed by the Chester Public Schools and Mr. Jarrell is a student at Southern Illinois University School of Law.
