Grace Reed, daughter of the late Joseph Ledbetter and Maude Mock Ledbetter, was born on July 17, 1906, at Huntsville, Ark., and died at the Crowley Ridge Care Center in Dexter on Wednesday, May 12, 2004, at the age of 97.

Mrs. Reed was a former resident of Hemet, Calif., and was currently residing in Dexter. She attended the Church of Christ and was a former waitress and cook for many years.

Survivors include one son, James A. Reed of Dudley; one daughter, Juanita Fox of Dexter; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Goldie Martin.

Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. Saturday, May 15, 2004, at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, May 16, 2004, in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel in Dexter with Rev. Donald Morgan officiating.

Interment will follow in the Dudley Cemetery.
