Elizabeth "Bootie" Triplett

Elizabeth "Bootie" Triplett, daughter of the late Everett Cecil Gibson and Kathern Musgrave Gibson, was born on Dec. 20, 1939, at Bernie and died in the St. Francis Medical Center at Cape Girardeau on Saturday, May 15, 2004, at the age of 64.

Mrs. Triplett was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Dexter, the bookkeeper for the family farm for many years and a resident of Dexter.

She was united in marriage to Melvin Triplett on Aug. 17, 1958, at Bernie. Mr. Triplett survives of the home in Dexter.

Besides her husband, she is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Michael Steven Triplett and Sharon of Dexter; one daughter and son-in-law, Cindy Michelle Hill and Doug of Union City, Tenn.; four grandchildren, Jesse Molloy of Union City, Tenn., Kristen Hill of Yazoo City, Miss., and Jade Triplett and Emily Triplett, both of Dexter; one great-granddaughter, Lydia Elizabeth Molloy of Union City, Tenn.; one brother, John Gibson of Jackson; and one sister, Janie Young of Bowie, Texas.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Bill Gibson and Harold Gibson.

Visitation was held from 5-8 p.m. Monday, May 17, 2004, at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter.

Funeral services were conducted at 11 a.m. today, Tuesday, May 18, 2004, in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel in Dexter with Rev. Dan Sitze officiating.

Interment followed in the Dexter Cemetery.
