Letha P. O'Dell, the daughter of the late Almond and Nancy Robinson Martin, was born near Dexter on Nov. 18, 1908, and died at the Beverly Health & Rehabilitation Center in Dexter on Friday, May 21, 2004, at the age of 95.
Mrs. O'Dell had lived in Dexter all her life. She had worked at Elder Manufacturing for 27 years. She was a member of the Sweet Prospect General Baptist Church in Dexter.
On July 3, 1926, she was married to James M. O'Dell in Dexter. He preceded her in death on Feb. 26, 1996.
Surviving are two sons, Charles and James F. O'Dell, both of Dexter; five daughters, Elizabeth Riggs of Scott City, Kathreen Robinson of Dexter, Freda Warren of Clarkton, Norma June Fortner of Bloomfield, and Delsie Lee Hesselbein of St. Peters; two brothers, Melvin and Elvin Martin, both of Washington State; two sisters, Elois Davis of Dexter and Louise Brady of Bloomfield; 18 grandchildren; 43 great-grandchildren; and 25 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held from 5-8 p.m. Saturday, May 22, 2004, at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. today, Sunday, May 23, 2004, in the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Dexter with the Rev. Mike Redman of Marshall officiating.
Interment will be in the Dexter Cemetery with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter in charge of arrangements.
