Dollie Jones Jenkins, daughter of the late John Harry Clark and Mary Jane Husk Clark Finley, was born Aug. 11, 1918, at Vanduser and died in her residence at Dexter on Friday, May 22, 2004, at the age of 85.
Mrs. Jenkins was a member of the Gospel Assembly Church in Dexter, a retired seamstress for Inland Shoe Company, and a resident of Dexter.
She was first united in marriage to Lester Monroe Jones on Dec. 19, 1936, at Jackson. Mr. Jones preceded her in death on March 26, 1958. She was then married to Walter Jenkins on Nov. 24, 1959, in Indiana. Mr. Jenkins preceded her in death on Nov. 19, 1979.
Survivors include two sons, Hilbert Monroe Jones of Sulphur, La., and Wesley Leon Jones of Jackson; two daughters, Doris Elder of Dexter and Margaret Pauling of Freemont, Ohio; one brother, Thomas Eugene Finley of Cape Girardeau; one sister, Christine Slinkard of Cape Girardeau; 14 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.
Besides her husbands and parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, William Finley and Harry Russel Clark; and her step-father, Tom Finley.
Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. today, Tuesday, May 25, 2004, at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 26, 2004, in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel with Rev. Winferd Wren officiating.
Interment will follow in the Union Park Cemetery at Chaffee.
