Alice Grim, the daughter of the late Frank and Mahala Eash Brookshire, was born in Weatherford, Okla., on July 11, 1920, and died at the St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau on Monday, May 31, 2004, at the age of 83.

Mrs. Grim had been a resident of Bloomfield for 58 years. She was a member of the First General Baptist Church in Bloomfield. She had been a seamstress at the Elder Manufacturing in Bloomfield for over 30 years.

On July 4, 1942, she was married to Ochel Grim. He preceded her in death in August of 1990.

Surviving are two sons, Wesley L. Grim and Weldon Grim, both of Bloomfield; three grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday, June 2, 2004, at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday, June 3, 2004, in the First General Baptist Church in Bloomfield with Rev. Kevin Eskew of Bloomfield officiating.

Interment will be in the Walker Cemetery near Bloomfield with Watkins & Sons Funeral Services of Dexter in charge of arrangements.
