Mr. Anderson was a mechanic for Bud Shell Ford in Dexter for 32 years, a veteran of the United States Air Force, a member of the Dexter Elks Lodge #2439, and a resident of Dexter.
Survivors include his wife, Nell Anderson of the home in Dexter; one son, Terry Anderson of Indianapolis, Ind.; one daughter, Laurie Landes of Nashville, Tenn.; two step-sons, Darrel Manuel of Dexter and Dean Manuel of Advance; one brother, Walter Anderson of Peoria, Ill.; one sister, Gladsia Bland of Dexter; four grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; and one step-great-granddaughter.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Lester Anderson, Merlin Anderson and Kenneth Anderson.
Visitation was held from 5-8 p.m. Thursday, June 10, 2004, at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter.
Funeral services were conducted at 1:30 p.m. Friday, June 11, 2004, in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel with Rev. Lester Clayton and Rev. Fred Leist officiating.
Interment followed in the Old Bethel Cemetery near Dexter.
