Jimmie Pullam, the son of the late Jesse Lee and Goldie Ellen Carter Pullam, was born near Dexter on May 27, 1935, and died at the Palos Hospital in Palos, Ill., on Wednesday, June 9, 2004, at the age of 69.
Mr. Pullam had lived in Missouri, Michigan, Illinois, Colorado and Ohio before moving to Dexter four years ago. He then moved to Oak Forest, Ill., one month ago. He was a retired trucker and trucking company manager. He had attended the Assembly of God Church in Dexter. On May 24, 1952, he was married to Dorothy Ragsdel in Pocahontas, Ark.
Surviving are his wife, Dorothy Pullam of Oak Forest, Ill.; one son, Stanley Ray Pullam of Oak Forest, Ill.; two daughters, Sharon Lee Ramirez of Lincoln Park, Mich., and Karen Joyce Howlett of Aurora, Colo.; 17 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Paul Pullam of Hopkinsville, Ky., and Dallas Pullam Aurora, Colo.; and one sister, Joyce Whiteside of Melvindale, Mich.
Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. Friday, June 11, 2004, at Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter.
Funeral services will be conducted at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, June 12, 2004, in the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Dexter with Rev. Michael Kohlbaker of Dexter officiating.
Interment will follow in the Hagy Cemetery in Dexter with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter in charge of arrangements.
