Lanora Mae Blankenship, 81, of Oak Ridge, died Thursday, June 17, 2004, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
She was born June 26, 1922, at Essex, the daughter of James D. and Clara Belle Trotter Hooks.
She and O.D. Blankenship were married in 1942 in Piggott, Ark. He died in March, 1957.
Blankenship was a businesswoman in Cape Girardeau 40 years. She was a past president of Missouri Board of Cosmetology.
Survivors include two sons, Stan Blankenship of Oak Ridge and Steve Blankenship of Jackson; two daughters, Judi Brey of Cape Girardeau and Donna Brzenk of Chesterfield; a sister, Celia Harris of Dexter; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by 14 brothers and sisters.
Visitation was held from 10 a.m. - noon Saturday, June 19, 2004, at Mount Auburn Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.

Interment followed in Garden of Memories Cemetery at Sikeston.
