William H. Lawson, son of the late John William Lawson and Lillie Davis Lawson, was born in Paducah, Ky., and died in the Beverly Health and Rehabilitation Center in Dexter on Saturday, June 19, 2004.

Mr. Lawson was a member of First Assembly of God Church in Dexter, a forty-year member of Gideon's International, where he was past-President of Dexter Camp, Past-President of Dexter Kiwanis Club, and a resident of Dexter.

He was united in marriage to Mary M. Matcaroff on Sept. 4, 1943, at Granite City, Ill. Mrs. Lawson survives of the home in Dexter.

Besides his wife, he is survived by one brother, Curtis Lawson of Paducah, Ky.

Visitation was held from 12-2 p.m. today, Tuesday, June 22, 2004, at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter.

Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 22, 2004, in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel with Rev. Mike Kohlbaker officiating.

A graveside service will be conducted on Wednesday, June 23, 2004, at 1 p.m. in the Sunset Hills Cemetery at Edwardsville, Ill
