Sally A. Smith, daughter of the late Jessie James Smith and Pearl Marie McCormick Smith, was born Oct. 9, 1948, in Topeka, Kan., and died on Sunday, June 20, 2004, in the Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center at the age of 55.

Ms. Smith was of the Catholic faith, a caretaker for the elderly, and a resident of Des Arc.

Survivors include one special friend, Gene Gadberry of Des Arc; and three aunts, Dottie Rendville of Santa Cruz, Calif., Melba Gaddy of Greenboro, N.C., and Goldie Hogue of Vero Beach, Fla.

Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. - noon Wednesday, June 23, 2004, at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter.

Graveside services will be conducted at 12 noon Wednesday, June 23, 2004, at the Dexter Cemetery with Father David Dohogne officiating.

Interment will follow after graveside services.
