Maryln "Sue" Ford was born July 16, 1947, in Wayne County, the daughter of the late Earnest and Etta Marie Hovis Abernathy, and died Monday, June 21, 2004, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau at the age of 56.

She was a cook for the Advance school system. She was a member of the Bethel General Baptist Church near Advance.

On June 28, 1969, she and Troy Ford were united in marriage at Hiram, and he survives of the home.

Other survivors include two sons, Delain Ford of Redding, Calif., and Dwyght Ford of Advance; a brother, Donald Abernathy of Hillsboro; and nine grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by a sister.

Visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday, June 23, 2004, at Morgan Funeral Chapel in Advance.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 24, 2004, at Morgan Funeral Chapel in Advance with Rev. Ray Placher officiating and assisted by Rev. Bill Sargent.

Interment will follow in Morgan Memorial Park in Advance.
