Lacy Walker, daughter of the late William Penn Hill and Carolyn Berry Hill, was born July 26, 1909, at Ethridge, Tenn., and died in the Crowley Ridge Care Center at Dexter on July 22, 2003, at the age of 93.
Mrs. Walker was of the Baptist faith, a homemaker and a resident of Bernie.
She was united in marriage to Alva "Stubby" Walker on Sept. 8, 1930, at Piggott, Ark. Mr. Walker preceded her in death on March 20, 1965.
Survivors include one son, David Walker of Dexter; five daughters, June Hester of Branson, Clara Pullum of Chaffee, Joyce Mills of McKinney, Texas, Mabel Snider and Judy Crump, both of Dexter; 22 grandchildren; and 29 great-grandchildren.
Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by three grandchildren, Scott Crump, Mark Mills, and Darlene Pullum; one brother, Etler Berry Hill; and three sisters, Mabel Dooley, Clara Gwin, and May Collier.
A memorial service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 3, 2004, in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Bernie.
