Ray and Brenda Dowdy and Dickie and Kathy Dockins II wish to announce the marriage of their children, Kaylan Dowdy and Dickie Dockins III, on June 2, 2004, in Ocho Rios, Jamaica, at 2:30 in the afternoon.

The wedding took place at the Ocho Rios Sandals Resort at the Reef Terrace Gazebo surrounded by native island flora with the ocean in the background.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a strapless white empire gown made of chiffon with brocade and sequins set in the empire waist with a flowing train. She also wore a cathedral veil and carried an island bouquet of white orchids.

The best man was the bridegroom's father, Dickie Dockins II, and the matron of honor was the bride's sister, Geren Long.

Bridesmaids were Mandy Hammock, friend of the bride and cousin of the bridegroom, and Beth Dockins, sister of the bridegroom. The matron of honor and bridesmaids wore tea length lavendar empire chiffon dresses and carried white orchids.

Groomsmen were Jesses Hammock, cousin of the bridegroom, and friend Mitchell Sharp. The best man and groomsmen wore khaki linen pants and cream linen shirts. The bridegroom and father of the bride wore a casual tuxedo.

Those attending the event were the couple's parents and sisters and many other family members and friends.
