Charlotte Kowell, 74, of Sikeston, died Monday, July 12, 2004, at 10 p.m. at Missouri Delta Medical Center. She was born Feb. 3, 1930, in Cleveland, Ark., to the late William Thomas and Zella Mae Bryant Brents. She was a member of the Emmanuel Missionary Baptist Church and had been a waitress and cook at the Fastlane Deli. She was married to Adolph Kowell who preceded her in death.

She is survived by one son, Charles Edward Brents of Rockford, Ill.; two brothers, Roy Brents of Dexter and Bill Brents of Atkins, Ark.; three sisters, Faye Mullin of Morrilton, Ark., Dean Marcum of Sikeston, and Dorothy King of Mansfield; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one brother and two sisters.

Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday, July 14, 2004, at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, July 15, 2004, in the Nunnelee Chapel with Rev. Randy Thomas, pastor of the Morehouse First General Baptist Church, officiating.

Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.
