He was a U.S. Navy veteran, having served during Vietnam and was an active member of the Sikeston American Legion. He attended the Nazarene Church in Malden.
He was united in marriage on Dec. 23, 1962, to Lena Thompson at Malden, and she survives of the home.
Other survivors besides his wife include three daughters, Lisa Tittle of Malden, LaDonna Fowler of Dexter, and Laura Pullum of Lawrenceburg, Tenn.; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Evelyn Clay; and one brother, Robert Leon McElrath.
Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. Thursday, July 15, 2004, at the Landess Funeral Chapel in Malden.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, July 16, 2004, at Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield with full military rites.
Landess Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.
