James Henry "Little Jimmy" Gregory, 53, of Poplar Bluff, died Friday, July 16, 2004, at the John J. Pershing VA Medical Center in Poplar Bluff.

Mr. Gregory was born May 21, 1951, in Jacksonville, Ill., and was of the Baptist faith. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served in the Vietnam era.

Survivors include his mother, Helen Evelyn Tibbs of Poplar Bluff; a brother, Harold Gregory of Poplar Bluff; and a sister, Rose Ann Chadwell.

His father, Virgie Harold Gregory, his stepfather, Benjamin Tibbs, and his grandparents, Henry and Maggie Robison, preceded him in death.

Visitation was held from 6-8 p.m. Sunday, July 18, 2004, at Cotrell Funeral Home in Poplar Bluff.

The funeral service was conducted at 1 p.m. Monday, July 19, 2004, at the funeral chapel with Rev. Phillip Hood officiating.

Interment with full military honors followed in the Poplar Bluff City Cemetery.
