Rick King Jines, son of James and Barbara Jines of Dexter and the late Herbert King, was born on April 15, 1957, in Dexter and died at his residence in Los Angeles, Calif., on Monday, July 12, 2004, at the age of 47.

Mr. Jines was an employee with Mission Prosthetics working as an orthopedic technician, veteran of the Navy (1977-1979), and a resident of Los Angeles County, Calif.

He was united in marriage to Jacqeline Mena in April of 1984 and to this union two children were born. Mrs. Jines survives of the home in California.

Survivors include his wife, Jacqeline Jines of Los Angeles County, Calif.; one daughter, Bianca Jines Norris of Los Angeles County, Calif.; one son, Rick Lee Jines of Los Angeles County, Calif.; his mother and father, Barbara and James Jines of Dexter; one brother, Sammy Michael King Jines of Granbury, Texas; and two sisters, Tonya Jines Jenkins and Tammy Jines Fleeman, both of Dexter.

Memorial services will be held Thursday, July 29, 2004, at 6 p.m. in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter with Rev. Mike Watkins officiating.
