Mr. Wright attended the Cornerstone Tabernacle at Poplar Bluff, had worked as a farmer, an employee of IXL Manufacturing in Bernie and a painter. He was a resident of Bernie.
He was united in marriage to Laura Esterline on Sept. 15, 1935, at Arbyrd. Mrs. Wright survives of the home in Bernie.
Besides his wife, he is survived by four sons, James Wright of Broken Arrow, Okla., Knealin Wright of Pomona, John Wright and Dean Wright, both of Dexter; one daughter, Barbara Hill of Selmer, Tenn.; two brothers, Dean Wright of Salem, Ill., and Woody Wright of Sullivan; 21 grandchildren; and 37 great-grandchildren.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Brenda Sue Wright in infancy; one grandson; and several brotherss and sisters.
Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. Friday, July 30, 2004, at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Bernie.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 31, 2004, in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel in Bernie with Rev. Bryan Parkey officiating.
Interment will follow in the Bernie Cemetery.
