Della Lorene Orman

Della Lorene Orman, the daughter of the late Edd and Hanna Norman Nelson, was born in Dexter on Sept. 12, 1916, and died at the Southbrook Skilled Nursing Center in Farmington on Wednesday, Aug. 4, 2004, at the age of 87.

Mrs. Orman had lived in Parma for many years and had moved to Doe Run in 1992. She was a long-time member of the Parma Church of God and had attended the Assembly of God Church in Farmington. She was a former Sunday School teacher and loved working with the youth of the church.

On Feb. 16, 1947, she was married to Lealon E. Orman in Piggott, Ark. He preceded her in death on Nov. 20, 1992.

Surviving are two sons, Donald Nelson of Doe Run and Dennis Orman of Ponchatoula, La.; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by three brothers, Luther, Wilmer and Wilbourn Nelson; and three sisters, Martha Williams, Mary Chamberlin and Lucille Hurst.

Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 6, 2004, at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Parma.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Sat., Aug. 7, 2004, in the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Parma with Rev. Carl O'Dell of Parma officiating.

Interment will follow in the Bernie Cemetery.
