Opal E. Miller, the daughter of the late Samuel and Berttie Harper Jenkins, was born in rural Bloomfield on June 12, 1913, and died at the Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center on Sunday, Aug. 15, 2004, at the age of 91.

Mrs. Miller had lived in the Puxico area her whole life. She was a member of the Corinth General Baptist Church near Puxico.

On Aug. 17, 1932, she was married to Arnold E. Miller in Dexter. He preceded her in death on Nov. 19, 1992.

Surviving are two sons, James D. Miller and Rodger W. Miller, both of Puxico; three daughters, Doris Hoggard of Springfield, Nancy Foster and Berttie Foster, both of Festus; 12 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one brother, Oral Jenkins; and two sisters, Neta Cox and Loma Yeager.

Visitation will be held from 8-10 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 18, 2004, at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Puxico.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 18, 2004, in the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Puxico with Rev. Bob Bradford of Chaffee officiating.

Interment will follow in the North Antioch Cemetery near Bloomfield with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Puxico in charge of arrangements.
