Ben Kruse

Ben Kruse, son of Charles and Pam Rodgers Kruse of Dexter, was born on Aug. 7, 1976, at Sikeston and died near Bloomfield on Saturday, Aug. 14, 2004, as a result of injuries received in a four-wheeler accident at the age of 28.

He was a member of the First United Methodist Church, a territory sales manager for Philip Morris U.S.A., a member of the Missouri State Babe Ruth Championship team in 1993, a former pitcher for the Dyersburg State College baseball team for two years, a graduate of the University of Missouri at Columbia, and a resident of Dexter.

He was united in marriage to Amy Bolin on June 9, 2001, at Dexter, and she survives of the home near Dexter.

Besides his wife, survivors include his parents, Charles and Pam Kruse of Dexter; his brother and sister-in-law, Scott and Kerri Kruse of Dexter; two nieces, Addie Kruse and Andie Kruse, both of Dexter; his maternal grandmother, Catherine Rodgers of Dexter; his paternal grandparents, Albert and Irene Kruse of Dexter; his mother and father-in-law, Eddie and Mary Bolin of Dexter; his brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Brandon and Nikki Jines of Bloomfield; his dog, "Bubba"; and his cat, "Kit-Kat".

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Calvin Rodgers, and his grandmother, Lena Kruse.

Visitation was held after 5 p.m. Monday, Aug. 16, 2004, at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter.

Funeral services were conducted at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 17, 2004, in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel in Dexter with Rev. Vaughn Wright officiating.

Interment followed in the Chalk Bluff Cemetery near Dexter.
