Born Sept. 3, 1927, in Morehouse, she was the daughter of the late Marion and Mildred (Pennington) Spurlin. She was a member of the First General Baptist Church in Scott City and had been a business owner and waitress before retiring.
She was married to Roy Eldon Haley; he preceded her in death on April 8, 1978.
Survivors include two daughter, Patricia Turner of Morehouse and Lisa Ellison of Scott City; one brother, James "Pete" Spurlin of Sikeston; two sisters, Bonnie Rodgers of Wappapello and Julie Grubbs of Dexter; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
One daughter, three brothers, and one sister preceded her in death.
Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 19, 2004, at Ponder Funeral Home in Sikeston where funeral services are scheduled for Friday at 2 p.m. Rev. Larry Rouse, pastor of First General Baptist Church in Scott City, will officiate.
Interment will follow in the Garden of Memories Cemetery in Sikeston.
