Ruby Cullum

Ruby Cullum, daughter of the late Calvin Williams and Pearl Elizabeth Flynn Williams, was born March 29, 1934, at Dongola, Ark., and died in the Crowley Ridge Care Center in Dexter on Thursday, Aug. 19, 2004, at the age of 70.

Mrs. Cullum attended the Word of Faith Church in Bernie, was a former employee of Swift and Company in Dexter and a resident of Dexter.

She was united in marriage to Marvin Cullum on March 12, 1952, at Piggott, Ark. Mr. Cullum survives of the home in Dexter.

Besides her husband, she is survived by three sons, Pervia David Cullum of Bloomfield, Rickie Cullum and Tony Randall Cullum, both of Dexter; one daughter, Barbara Jean Worley of Dexter; one brother, Willard Williams of Malden; two sisters, Imogene Gromer of Bernie and Christine Clay of Natchitoches, La.; nine grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by two sons in infancy, Johnny David Cullum and Bobby Joe Cullum; one granddaughter, Tanya Cullum; five brothers, Chester Williams, Vearl Williams, Troy Williams, Pervia Williams, and Roy Williams; and four sisters, Nellie Robertson, Beulah Watkins, Bertha Fielder and Eula Williams.

Visitation was held from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. Monday, Aug. 23, 2004, at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter.

Funeral services were conducted at 1 p.m. Monday, Aug. 23, 2004, at Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel with Rev. Dale Hartle officiating.

Interment followed in the Taylor Cemetery near Essex.
