Jeffrey Ray Martin, the son of Jackie Terrell and Kurt Steiner, was born in Rockford, Ill., on Feb. 23, 1990, and died at the St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau on Tuesday, Aug. 24, 2004, at the age of 14.

He had lived in Rockford, Ill., and had lived in Wappapello the past three years. He was a member of the Boy Scout Troop 416 in Wappapello and was a ninth grade student at Puxico High School. He loved fishing, attending boy scout meetings and playing with his dog.

Surviving are his parents, Jackie Terrell and Kurt Steiner of Wappapello; one sister, Kelsey Steiner of Wappapello; his grandparents, Lon and Veniche McGrew, Don and Anita Steiner, all of Rockford, Ill., and Bill and Cindy Terrell of Wappapello; and his great-grandparents, Cliff and Ruby Presson of Wappapello.

Visitation will be held after 12:30 p.m. Friday, Aug. 27, 2004, at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Puxico.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday, Aug. 27, 2004, at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Chapel in Puxico with Rev. Buzz Brown officiating.

Interment will follow in the Little Brushy Cemetery in Wappapello with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Puxico in charge of arrangements.
