Anna Jarrell

Anna M. Jarrell, daughter of the late Walker and Amanda Jarrell was born on October 18, 1915 at Parma, Missouri, and departed this life on September 5, 2004, in the Cypress Point Health Care in Dexter at the age of 88.

She was united in marriage to Lloyd Jarrell on October 22, 1938 at Morganfield, Kentucky. Mr. Jarrell preceded her in death on July 23, 1993.

Survivors include one sister, Eunice Pixley of Dexter.

Anna spent most of her life in Dexter, where she was well known for her child care business. During 27 dedicated years, she cared for countless children from Dexter and the surrounding areas. She was a faithful member of Victry Temple Church in Dexter for several years.

She will be missed by her sister, many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, several other relatives and friends who knew and loved her. She will be remembered for her strength and zealous love of life, but most of all her willingness to help others in need.

Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters and four brothers.

Friends may call at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter from 10 a.m. until 12 noon on Wednesday, September 8, 2004. Funeral services will then be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel with Carl Neuber officiating. Interment will follow in the Sadler Chapel Cemetery near Dexter.
